Here's a picture of Brother Saunders with his daughter Christina and the Fox 5 news anchor just before they did the Crohn's disease walk-a-thon event in NYC. Christina was diagnosed with Crohn's seven years ago and is a devoted volunteer in fund raising efforts to help find a cure. We always knew Artie was wigged out but this disguise is over the top!
Attached is a photo from dinner last week while I was in Denver on my way to Vail to play in a lacrosse tournament. Randy was kind enough to upgrade my ticket home to first class which was needed as I flew the red-eye. I stayed at Kathy Auen's house. Kathy was a Pi Phi and graduated in 1972.
Earlier in the year, TB and Randyman in Florida. Todd drove up from Naples to play a round of friendly golf with alligators abundantly on the course. 
Len and Bills, the Club LB, "The Friendliest Neighborhood Bar". This was the perfect frat guys bar back in the late 60's before fashionable places like The Great Divide appeared. This was as regular a place as could be with working guys from the afternoon shift coming straight from the Gates Rubber factory getting boozed up with the Betas who arrived early evening starting Thursdays. It is, unbelievably, more seedy than when we left but it does still have our "72 Frat picture hanging, center, over the bar where it has resided for the last 36 years.
When the classes of '72, '73 were pledges these boyz were our mentors and antagonists at the same time. Doug was the school's first Denver Boone mascot. Briggsy was Rush Chairman during the hugely successful class of 43 pledges during the fall of '68 when many of us pledged. "Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen ... "
Eighty-four years young and he still loves the brothers and he remembered most of us after chatting and allowing the voices, body language etc jog his fairly sharp memory even if our hairlines and waistlines did not. Notice the picture above Lenny's head ... it's still there after 36 years!
Dave Lowe's bar was the starting line for weekend activities. Let's see if I can identify everyone correctly.
The new Magness Arena is a great place to watch a DU hockey game but a lot of us missed that old fire trap of an aircraft hanger that we crowded in to at the south end so that we could relentlessly taunt the opposing goalie "sieve ... sieve ... sieve"
The usual post game revelry was moved to (where else) Len and Bills where Lenny greeted us after a tardy arrival in his Cadillac Escalade. That's Bill Woodman with his back to the camera also Stinchfield, Loveland, Sully, the Baron von Stumm and Randy Evans.

We had a grand evening at this fun and unusual restaurant. After dinner Tod showed some movies that he took our freshman year. Hilarious! Later we passed the Loving Cup around one more time, pausing afterward to remember brothers who have passed away. Each brother shared their personal thoughts on what it has meant to us to be a member of Alpha Zeta Chapter. A very warm and nostalgic evening.
Wow! What can you say about a weekend with 20 guys who became a band of brothers thirty plus years ago. It was relaxed but active ... Tod picked up Judd and me at the DIA and we caught up with Randy for lunch at a restaurant near our hotel, The Courtyard at Stapleton which is literally right where the old airport used to be located. We didn't have any trouble recognizing one another in spite of excess lbs, either gray or no hair and poor eyesight! This foursome has cheated however, as we have kept in touch and had a few visits in between.
